Hi, I’m Zainab Kamil, founder and creative lead of Interiors By Zai. With over five years of experience in residential design and property styling, I’ve had the privilege of transforming family homes, Airbnb stays, and curated interiors across Australia.

I believe every space should tell a story- your story. At Interiors By Zai, my approach is rooted in thoughtful design, natural light, and that perfect balance of comfort and elegance. Whether I’m styling a guest-ready Airbnb or refreshing a family living room, my goal is always the same: to create interiors that feel lived-in, loved, and a little bit luxurious.
A Note From Me
Interiors By Zai was born during one of the most life-changing seasons of my life - when I was pregnant with my son. I had always dreamed of starting my own design studio, and one day I thought: why not now? It truly felt like a now or never moment.
Between preparing for motherhood and dreaming up interiors, I took the leap. What began as a passion project quickly became a studio where I could channel my creativity, love for beautiful spaces, and desire to help others feel at home.
Since launching in 2021, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with families, property managers, and brands to design interiors that are equal parts functional and beautiful.
